Welcome to The Little Journal Club (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of thelittlejournalclub.com and your purchase of products from our online shop.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or purchase from our shop.
1. Online Store Terms
Our website sells physical products that may be purchased through our WooCommerce shop. You agree that all information you provide during checkout is accurate, current, and complete.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, inventory issues, abuse of our policies, or violation of these Terms.
2. Payments
Payments are securely processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number or complete payment credentials on our website.
By placing an order, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the total amount shown at checkout, including applicable taxes, shipping, and fees.
Stripe may process your payment information according to its own terms and privacy practices. Stripe allows merchants to display legal policies, including Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links, during checkout, and businesses using Stripe are expected to comply with Stripe’s Services Agreement and restricted business rules.
3. Pricing, Taxes, and Product Availability
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices, product descriptions, and availability may change without notice.
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate product information, but we do not guarantee that product descriptions, images, colors, pricing, or availability are error-free. If we discover an error after you place an order, we may contact you to correct the issue, cancel the order, or provide a refund.
Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be calculated and displayed at checkout when available.
4. Shipping Policy
We ship physical products to the address provided at checkout. You are responsible for ensuring that your shipping information is accurate and complete.
Shipping dates, delivery windows, and transit times are estimates only. We do not guarantee delivery by any specific date. Delays may occur due to carrier issues, weather, holidays, incorrect addresses, high order volume, customs delays, or other circumstances outside our control.
Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, risk of loss may pass to the buyer to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages marked as delivered, or delays caused by incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.
If your package appears lost, damaged, or delayed, please contact us at kayla@kaylamakes.com and we will do our best to assist you with the carrier.
5. Returns and Refunds
We want customers to feel confident ordering from The Little Journal Club. We offer a generous return policy for eligible products.
You may request a return within 30 days of delivery if the product is:
- unused;
- unopened;
- in its original condition;
- in its original packaging, where applicable;
- not damaged, altered, tampered with, or missing components.
To start a return, contact us at kayla@kaylamakes.com with your order number and reason for return.
Unless the return is due to our error or a defective product, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the return is due to our mistake.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the returned product. We reserve the right to deny a refund or issue a partial refund if the item is returned used, opened, damaged, incomplete, tampered with, or outside the return window.
6. Non-Returnable Items
Certain items may not be eligible for return, including:
- opened or used products;
- products damaged after delivery;
- customized, personalized, or made-to-order products;
- clearance or final-sale items, if clearly marked;
- digital products, if any are offered in the future;
- items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at kayla@kaylamakes.com.
Please include:
- your order number;
- a description of the issue;
- photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label if applicable.
If we determine that the item was defective, damaged before delivery, or incorrectly fulfilled, we may offer a replacement, refund, store credit, or other resolution at our discretion.
8. Order Cancellations
You may request to cancel an order before it has shipped by contacting kayla@kaylamakes.com. We cannot guarantee cancellation once fulfillment has begun.
If an order has already shipped, it must be handled through our return process.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage you to contact us first at kayla@kaylamakes.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Most issues can be resolved more quickly by working directly with us.
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, you agree that we may provide order details, shipping confirmations, tracking information, communications, and other relevant evidence to Stripe, the card network, the payment provider, or the issuing bank.
Fraudulent disputes, false claims, or abuse of our refund policy may result in denial of future orders.
10. Promotions, Discounts, and Gift Codes
Promotional codes, discounts, or gift codes may be offered at our discretion. Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be combined, redeemed for cash, applied retroactively, or used after expiration.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify promotions at any time.
11. Google Analytics and Website Tracking
We may use Google Analytics and similar tools to understand website traffic, improve our website, evaluate marketing performance, and enhance the shopping experience.

Because our website uses Stripe for payment processing and Google Analytics for website measurement, the Privacy Policy should include information about third-party service providers, cookies, analytics, payment processing, and customer data handling. Stripe publishes its own privacy practices for how it handles personal data through its services.
13. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, graphics, product images, logos, designs, downloads, templates, artwork, layouts, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to The Little Journal Club unless otherwise stated.
Nothing on our website or in your purchase transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you. Your rights are limited to the personal-use license described below.
13.1. Product Designs, Personal Use, and Commercial Licensing
All designs, artwork, templates, graphics, printable materials, product concepts, layouts, text, and other creative materials sold or provided by The Little Journal Club are protected intellectual property owned by or licensed to us.
Unless we provide written permission, your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased product for personal use only.
You may not:
- copy, reproduce, duplicate, scan, photograph, trace, redraw, or recreate our designs;
- alter, modify, adapt, remix, or create derivative works based on our designs;
- resell, redistribute, share, upload, sublicense, or give away our designs or product files;
- use our designs to create products for sale;
- use our designs for commercial, promotional, business, wholesale, retail, or marketplace purposes;
- claim our designs as your own;
- use our designs with print-on-demand, third-party fulfillment, digital download, or resale platforms.
If you would like to use any product, design, artwork, template, or creative material for commercial purposes, you must contact us directly to request a commercial license before using it commercially.

Any unauthorized commercial use, copying, alteration, redistribution, resale, or reproduction of our designs is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
14. User Conduct
You agree not to use our website for any unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purpose. You may not attempt to interfere with the security, operation, or functionality of the website, submit false information, impersonate another person, or misuse checkout, payment, discount, refund, or return systems.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Little Journal Club will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of our website or purchase of our products.
Our maximum liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
16. No Warranties
Our website and products are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis, except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by law.
We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. Product results, availability, and delivery timelines are not guaranteed.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Little Journal Club, its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the website, fraudulent activity, or violation of applicable law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
19. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at kayla@kaylamakes.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, any claim or dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless another dispute resolution process is required by applicable law.
You agree that any dispute must be brought individually and not as part of a class action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding, to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
